This winter-plumaged Knot was amongst many other waders on the beach at Titchwell. By carefully selecting a position amongst the pools on a rising tide, and then staying very still, the birds all came to me. At one point I was surrounded by Bar-tailed Godwits, Knot and Turnstone, all within feet.
