Corn Bunting was by far the commonest passerine in Spain as far as I could tell. Would that were the case in England! Literally on every fence, the best tactic was to roll the car alongside and then shoot hand-held out of the window, which is how all these shots were taken. Nine times out of ten the bird would fly off before I could grab a shot, but every now and again a bird would linger, unconcerned. Try as I might, wire was easily the favourite perch!
